Real-time spatial eventsUbisense Location Platform includes a graphical interface for defining relationships between objects, which are then monitored in real-time, turning location events into the object relationship events that application programmers care about.
2D and 3D visualisation Ubisense Location Platform provides support for creating detailed 2D and 3D models of the buildings covered and the objects tracked.
Building models can be created in several ways: drawing them with Ubisense graphical tools, importing them using a simple transfer format that can be extracted from CAD systems like AutoCAD, or using an image as a background. Object representations can be drawn using Ubisense graphical tools, or imported from popular drafting tools like Google SketchUp.
Ubisense Location Platform provides a range of tools and components for visualization in 2D or 3D in smart client programs. The Ubisense Enterprise Browser provides 2D visualization for web browsers and hand-held devices.
Open integrationUbisense provides APIs in .NET (and C++ for selected partners). The APIs are fully open so that integration options are unrestricted: everything that can be done using Ubisense tools can be done via a Ubisense API.
To support partners and customers who just want location events in the simplest-possible form, Ubisense sensors use an open on-the-wire protocol to send 3D position, ID and timestamp directly to client programs over UDP.
Ubisense Location Platform has been integrated with a variety of other systems in many real-life installations, including: RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), other middleware systems (IBM LAS, NCR Transition Works), military systems (S2Focus, DIS), process control systems (OPC), other sensing devices (inertial MEMS sensors, GPS receivers), and many other devices (CCTV cameras, screens, torque power tools, etc.)
Seamless extensibilityUbisense Developer extends the Location Platform with a Data Dictionary editing tool that allows developers to create new application-specific data models, and compile these models directly to persistent, scalable .NET 2.0 Ubisense services, tightly integrated with the other Ubisense services, in order to build application suites tailored to specific verticals.
Ready-built application suitesUbisense provides suites of ready-made applications with the key location-aware features needed for key verticals.
