How it works
A Ubsense sensor network is installed throughout the production area to be monitored. All sensors are standard IP-based devices connected using standard commercially-available network equipment.

Location tags are then attached to products early on in the production cycle to provide identification and location tracking information as they move through the various assembly and manufacturing steps.

Automatic identification and precise coexistence between parts, tools, test equipment, workers and work bays enables each application to drive the process automation.

Locating products and tools makes it possible to make associations between them. For example when a tool enters a defined workstation’s area it will automatically send instructions to program the tool settings and enable or disable the tool, which eliminates the need to barcode scan the product being worked on.

The benefits are increased productivity through reduction in cycle times, improved quality through elimination of identification errors and improved production flow.
