Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group Plc (“Ubisense”) (LSE:UBI), the location based smart technology company, is pleased to welcome The Duke of York to its headquarters in Cambridge today.
His Royal Highness is visiting Ubisense, as part of an Away Day in Cambridge to discuss Innovation and recognise the successful research and entrepreneurial activity going on within the University and broader community. The Duke of York will be hosted by Ubisense Chairman, Andy Hopper, CBE and Chief Executive, Richard Green and be briefed on the background to Ubisense’s rapid growth and its journey from engineering research labs to becoming a global market leader. Ubisense was recently the winner of two Queen's Awards for Enterprise, in the Innovation and International Trade categories.
During the visit, His Royal Highness will be shown how Ubisense real-time location solutions are transforming the way in which some of the world’s biggest and most complex production facilities are controlled.He will see how Ubisense RTLS products are used to produce real-time, easy-to-interpret data to drive ever leaner production processes - for example, by eliminating manufacturing bottlenecks that hinder productivity and result in defects and extra work. Ubisense real-time location solutions are increasingly offering the most complete and accurate tools to help engineers identify production issues and drive improvements to their business operations.
The Duke of York will also discover how Ubisense has delivered some of the world's most sophisticated geospatial projects, to help utility and telecom customers to transform the way they plan, design and manage their network assets. Ubisense is enabling its customers to take advantage of the major regulatory and technological changes that are underway in their industries with its suite of Geospatial products and services such as myWorld, netSolutions and VeroTrack.
