RTLS Technical Project Manager (Denver, CO, USA)
Ubisense is the global market leader in Precise Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS), providing enterprise business automation by tracking objects and people with unmatched accuracy and reliability, and enabling visibility and control of previously intractable business challenges. Ubisense location consultants work with a network of partners to deliver and manage some of the largest and most complex geospatial and RTLS systems in the world.
The company's key strengths are: (1) the precise real-time location system technology which utilizes ultrawideband (UWB) sensor technology to locate objects in real-time to an accuracy of 6 inches in 3D, and (2) the software platform upon which the company has been able to build end-to-end real-time visibility systems to enable manufacturing, transportation, military training, and safety applications, as well as many other diverse use cases across a wide variety of industries, and (3) the quality, ingenuity, and professionalism of its staff.
Technical Project Manager Role
- Develops and executes project plans and statements of work for project proposals including detailed task descriptions, deliverables, project schedules and acceptance criteria
- Identifies scope and cost of project changes, and interacts and negotiates contract changes
- Builds strong customer relationships resulting in incremental business and references
- Monitors projects against targets and organize counter measures when required
- Project progress reporting (status, scope, schedule budget, etc.) on a per project basis
Requirements
- Strong technical background with experience as a technical project manager, developer, systems analyst, or applications engineer.
- Experience managing implementations involving web interfaces, complex LAN environments, and ideally RTLS/RFID systems.
- Experience integrating with at least one of the following: MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Desire to work with a strong team in a rapid growth technology business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management tools.
- Extensive Domestic travel, often spending extended periods at customer sites.

Principal Applications Engineer (Denver, CO, USA)

This technical and customer-facing position involves:
- Technical Design of Ubisense RTLS Projects
- Technical leadership and oversight of Ubisense customer delivery projects
- Customer site-surveys and preparation of system installation plans and project work plans
- Installation, configuration and testing of Ubisense and other RFID products
- RTLS software development and implementation, customization and integration services
- Performing customer training for Ubisense and other RFID hardware
- Troubleshooting of technical issues with RTLS projects
Requirements
- Superior problem solving skills.
- Authoritative technical presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent software development skills and experience
- Good understanding of wireless radio communications.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, IP Networks, and relational database systems
- At least 5 years of industry experience in a hands-on technical leadership role.
- Substantial domestic and international travel. May telecommute up to two days per week.
