Process Tracker

Ubisense Process Tracker was designed in collaboration with our customers to provide visibility into key challenges being faced by modern manufacturing organizations.  What is the real-time status of every item in my production line? How much time does each operation on the line require?  Why is one shift’s performance consistently better than another?  Where is the biggest variable in my production schedule?

Overview

By combining our precise location technology with our real-time software platform, companies can achieve complete visibility into their manufacturing processes.  The Ubisense Process Tracker solution utilizes ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to provide optimum location tracking performance in complex industrial environments where other RFID and wireless technologies fail. The Ubisense Process Tracker locates items to within 6 inches of accuracy and in 3D.

How it works

Ubisense Tags can be placed on any item, including vehicles, engines, dies, totes and jigs which are then integrated into the Ubisense Process Tracker software program to analyze both the real-time status of production and historical data for process mapping and analysis. Ubisense Sensors communicate with the Ubisense Tags to identify the exact location of each tagged item and in real-time communicate that information to the Ubisense Process Tracker. Data generated using the Ubisense Process Tracker can be used to drive lean manufacturing and six sigma analysis to further improve efficiencies and avoid errors in the production line.

Each tag has a button which can be used to signal events such as when parts need to be replenished, or when a tool needs maintenance or a product needs rework.  All data gathered is stored in standard database format and is accessible though a web interface from anywhere in the plant.
